We are a family run business based in North Devon with a passion to live a self sustainable life. Our daughter Norah suffered with extremely bad eczema as a baby and we exhausted the medical route and after researching alternative treatments we discovered the world of RAW goats milk and the benefits it has with health and skin. It was impossible purchase fresh raw goats milk due to the laws and regulations regarding non pasteurised milk, but for the full skin benefits raw milk was crucial, so we bought our own dairy goats. Mother Clucker Karen has NVQs in beauty therapy and hairdressing so has an understanding of anatomy of hair and skin and used this knowledge to develop a soap which not only was luxurious but with lots of skin loving ingredients. After two years of lots of trial and errors (and there were many!) the plain bar was born and still is our most popular bar. Not only has Norah's skin become more manageable but we have all noticed, as a family that our skin has improved. It is not a miracle cure, Norah still gets flare ups but we have a much better chance of getting her skin under control and support the microbiome which is crucial.
